Final Press Release

The European Youth Chess Championship 2012 in Prague with the record number 1173 of players from 46 countries has finished with the final ceremony on Saturday evening 25th August!

The official website of the event (http://www.eycc2012.eu/ ) was daily watched by 10.000 unique visitors! There were online-transmission from 100 board each round. Now you can see there all games played, all results, photos, videos etc.

The event was very tough and had a very high level. 3 IM norms were fulfilled - congratulations go to Vadim Moiseenko (2454, RUS), FM Givon Asaf (2340, ISR) and Drnovsek Gal (2177, SLO).

B18, G18: Moiseenko Vadim (RUS, 2454 - perfo 2668!!!), WGM Goryachkina Aleksandra (RUS, 2361)

B16, G16: FM Drozdowski Kacper (POL, 2350), Tantsiura Marja (UKR, 2193)

Thanks to Mr. James A. Stallings (Chess Program Director, The University of Texas at Dallas, USA), both winner s in category under 16 received a very special prize - scholarship on The University of Texas at Dallas!
